I found a video, on vimeo (hehe a rhyme) It is a short video of a movie opening which portrays the effects of editing in a style of a old picture roll, i found it randomly searching vimeo for video’s to help understand film opening’s and how camera angles and Editing affects, i would say this one is more of a Openeing for a tv programme but i beleive the affects are fantastic and it could be something we can use.    http://www.vimeo.com/7717915

Editing- we began too edit our 2 minute movie! (finnaly) but we had great fun messing around with vegas pro, and getting it together. still need to sort of music for it though. =(

Desperation- we only have a few hours left of pre production, and i think the pressure is finnaly hitting us, i Personnaly don’t hinkk i’m ready for such  the large responsibility to produce this, i think we will work it out and we will eventually succeed.

we have finished filming, and to be honest, it was difficult to understand all our views but in the end we cracked on and had great fun. Editing is still to be done and hopefully this will be a great experience.

Basic Storyline: Ryan walks out of an classroom and starts to walk up the corrider and meet’s james. james chases ryan and it ends in a epic finish.

“lost highway” openeing analysis

[ 2 Comments ] Posted on 11.08.09 under Uncategorized

Straight from the start you are introduced to going quickly through a high way sense which emphasis the title name of lost highway. The music connotes that the film is fast paced or is emphasis the meaning in the fact of you are driving fast down a “lost” highway. the idea of lost highway makes car’s come to mind as if you are driving down the lost highway, (as slightly touched on) also creates the idea of danger as if trying to escape something quickly and you go a separate road and get lost emphasizing lost highway. the names of actor’s and the title flying at you emphasizing danger for the fact they are flying at you as if trying hit you.
